Set up in the 1980’s as specialists in Pneumatics and Process Control, the group expanded and diversified over the years, adding Plastics and Engraving divisions to their units on Stafford Park.
"We have always focused on our customers needs; therefore when faced with a product we didn’t usually sell, we stepped forward and advanced to meet growing demand" said Bill. What does engineering have to do with engraving? In industry, companies want their bespoke products labelled, hence the acquisition of Professional Engraving.
For over a decade, the group have provided industrial labelling and health and safety signage. With a growing reputation, the general public started to contact Professional Engraving for gifts, trophies and medals. When Manx Trophies owner announced his retirement the decision was made to take over the Manx name, with a very busy end of football season, local clubs started approaching them for sport kits, with personalisation and embroidery.
A new factory was purchased, housing an extensive showroom and production facilities. "There is a very big difference from buying trophies online to coming here. You get to feel the weight of the trophy, see the quality and receive the customer service you could never get online" said Keith Trubshaw, general manager.
SignArt is the newest division, becoming part of the Air Systems family at the end of 2012. Already supplying health and safety signage, the acquisition of SignArt boosted this part of the business.
"People are bemused by the range of services we offer" said Bill "but there is a solid link between the technology each division uses and more importantly, a common thread running through every branch of the business...quality of service!"
